Some say I’m obsessed. Some say it’s cool. Some say I remember that! My obsession with signs (neon signs, vintage signs, local signs, unique signs, traveling signs) captures a memory or feeling. While the signs (or places they represent) may not last long, relatively speaking, they represent memories that last a lifetime.
When i first started following photographers of vintage signs, I had no idea. But soon I found myself seeking out signs I remembered from my childhood. There are many I haven’t been able to find as they have been torn down or replaced, but the hunt for the memories of those etched vividly in my mind make the hunt for them special.
What does this have to do with the practice of law? Absolutely nothing! But it’s part of who I am and how I came to be where I am today. Today, the view through the lens is my distraction (my obsession) for a moment in time.
